Dr. Thomas Benvenuti received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine.  He also studied Hematology and Statistics at Harvard University.  He received his Medical Doctorate Degree at University of California, Los Angeles.  He completed Externships at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.  He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at University of California, Irvine Medical Center.  He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at University of California, Davis Medical Center.  He also completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Subbarao Myla, M.D., F.A.C.C., is the Medical Director, Cardiac and Endovascular Labs and Cardiovascular Research at Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach. Dr. Myla leads the clinical direction of endovascular therapy and cardiovascular research at Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute. Under his leadership, Hoag has initiated more than 25 FDA-regulated clinical trials investigating a variety of innovative medical devices and procedures, all of which focus on stroke prevention. Hoag is one of only a handful of medical facilities in the western United States to participate in these studies. Dr. Myla also showcases leading-edge techniques to the medical and scientific community through workshops, live demonstration courses and preceptorships. One of the most extensive projects to-date involves computer-generated simulation as an instructional tool for physicians. The endeavor is aimed at accelerating the educational process in endovascular therapy.
